Land Acknowlegement

Movement Sustainability Commons resides on the unceded lands of the Massachusett, Nipmuc, and Wampanoag Tribes, who belong to this place and continue to regard these sacred lands and waters as home. This land acknowledgment is our recognition of the longstanding history and continuing presence of Tribes who were here before white colonizers arrived, pushed or forcibly removed Indigenous Peoples from the land, and changed the uses of that land. We recognize that Indigenous People remain, are an integral part of the land today and will be for many generations to come. May our relationship with and work we steward on these lands be in reciprocity and in right relationship with the spirit of the land and all with whom we share it.
